In recent years, various initiatives aimed at regional revitalization, such as promoting tourism and migration, have been implemented. Amid these efforts, attention has been drawn to initiatives that combine the "metaverse," which is unrestricted by physical space and allows for limitless forms of expression, with "art," which shares a high affinity with it. By freely expressing the unique charms of a region through these mediums, such initiatives aim to enhance awareness and promote tourism.

At Nihon University College of Art (Nichigei), we have pursued "Nichigei's unique industry-academia-government collaboration projects," providing opportunities to address real-world challenges. In the past, we have collaborated with various local governments and private companies on such projects. Building on this foundation, we are launching a new project to showcase the appeal of Ekoda through the unique perspectives of our students. This initiative combines the artistic and design sensibilities of Nichigei students with the expertise of Nippon Electronic Computer Co., Ltd., Urth, NRC, and Qunie, which have extensive experience in the fields of the metaverse and architecture.
